Reference standards

The course curriculum is structured in line with two international standards that are fundamental to the assessment and training sector:

  • ISO 29992:2018 – Assessment of learning outcomes: a standard that sets out the requirements for assessing learning outcomes, with particular attention to the validity, reliability and impartiality of the examination process. It provides the conceptual framework within which the Proctor operates, ensuring the integrity of the assessment.
  • ISO 29995:2021 – Testing and assessment services for language learning: a standard governing the requirements for testing and assessment services, covering test administration conditions, the role of the exam supervisor, and the operating procedures to be adopted in physical and virtual environments.
