Description

The ISO/IEC 27701 Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) course (Foundation level) builds an understanding of the structure and requirements of ISO/IEC 27701, now a standalone standard for privacy information management, of its integration with the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and of its mapping to the GDPR principles.

Taught by Dott.ssa Valentina Grazia Sapuppo, the course is delivered live, online or in person, in a single 8-hour lesson that takes participants from data protection principles through to the PIMS controls and how they link to the GDPR.

Objectives and expected outcomes

  • understand the structure and requirements of ISO/IEC 27701 and how it relates to ISO/IEC 27001;
  • distinguish the roles of controller and processor within the PIMS;
  • know the PIMS controls and how they link to the GDPR principles.
