The European GREENCOMP framework (European Sustainability Competence Framework), developed by the European Commission and the Joint Research Centre (JRC), defines the key competencies that professionals, managers and organisations must master to effectively address the challenges of ecological transition and sustainable development.

This 12-hour course is the reference training programme for those who want to acquire a thorough and systematic knowledge of the framework, with the aim of preparing for the GREENCOMP certification recognised by ACCREDIA — the certification that officially attests, with value recognised at national and European level, the possession of sustainability competencies.

Module 1 — Introduction and structure of GREENCOMP: A comprehensive overview of the European framework: origins, purpose, regulatory context and positioning relative to other international sustainability standards.

Module 2 — The 4 competence areas and 12 dimensions of GREENCOMP: Structured analysis of the four macro-areas (Embodying sustainability values, Embracing complexity in sustainability, Envisioning sustainable futures, Acting for sustainability) and the 12 specific competencies that compose them.

Module 3 — Examination of competency characteristics with specific examples: The applied core of the course: each competency is explored through concrete cases, real professional scenarios and self-assessment tools.

Module 4 — Conclusions: Summary of the programme, roadmap to ACCREDIA certification, operational guidance for maintaining and leveraging certification in your professional context.
