Objectives
- Regulatory framework knowledge: understand how the GDPR and the new European legal framework on AI (the AI Act) integrate with data management
- Applying privacy principles: learn to apply concepts such as privacy by design and privacy by default during the training and operation of Machine Learning models
- Managing algorithmic risk: build the skills to carry out a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) and mitigate risks related to bias, profiling and automated decisions
- Transparency and human oversight: define how to properly inform users about the use of algorithms (e.g. in chatbots or back-office systems) and always ensure human oversight of decision-making processes
- Corporate accountability: map internal and external roles, establishing responsibilities for suppliers and users of AI systems
